Norah Jones teaches piano on Garage Band

Hey all you Mac users (and all you non-Mac users, get with it).

You may already have heard the new version of iLife is here and includes some interesting updates especially for those of us who are fans of Garage Band.

In addition to an overall simplification of the user interface, this version of Garage Band offers music lessons, at least, guitar and piano lessons (so far).  The lessons are psuedo interactive, meaning one can slow down the tempo or control the mix of the song, and appear to be engaging and informative.  They are also $5.00.  What makes this feature more attractive are the lessons from the artists themselves.  Imagine, learning the guitar part to Roxanne from Sting himself, or learning the keyboard part to Thinking About You from Norah Jones.

Pretty enticing if you ask me.  Although, I haven’t decided if it’s $80.00 enticing or not.

Actually, I’m not sure I’d opt for it because it’s $79 to upgrade then $5.00 for every lesson, plus I’m already a pro.
